Measuring Academic Progress and Financial Efficiency in Texas Schools
The Financial Allocation Study of Texas (FAST) measures how spending in every Texas public school district and campus translates to student academic progress. Updated data for the second year of FAST ratings was released in September 2011. The Comptroller’s FAST study also identifies and shares cost-effective practices that could benefit campuses and districts across the state.
